What kinds of jobs can I post on Azzida?

Azzida is the mobile app for getting things done, from A-Z. For any job or task where you need a little extra muscle, talent, or just an extra set of hands, you can post it on Azzida. Azzida’s primary focus is on odd jobs, unskilled gigs and day labor, and we’ve put together a list of the types of tasks you can get done with Azzida, but feel free to use your imagination. Basically, Azzida can be used any time you need to rent a person’s time for a little extra help.

How can I post an odd job on Azzida?

The Job Posting process can be described in 3 easy steps: Name it, Price it, Post it, Get it Done! To post an odd job on Azzida, download the mobile app, open the app, then register and, once logged in, complete your profile page – from the menu icon on the top left of the screen, select “Profile”, then click the “Edit Profile” button to add a photo and provide any details you wish and “Save”. Next, click the back arrow button, now at the top left of your screen to return to the scrolling “Jobs Feed”. At the top of the “Jobs Feed”, click the “Add A Job” button at the top of the screen. Next, on the job details screen, upload a photo of your job, complete the job description form, including the date you want the work done, how long it should take and how much you’re willing to pay. Once you’re satisfied with your job posting, click the “Post” button at the bottom of the form. You can review your Job Posting and edit it by selecting the job you’ve posted and clicking the “Edit Job” link at the top right of the Job Post. That’s it! Once a Job Performer applies to your job, you’ll be notified by email and you can log back into the Azzida app to review the applicant. To accept an applicant, simply click on the “Accept Offer” button. Enter your payment details to proceed. Once the applicant has confirmed their availability, you may use the in-app “Chat” feature to communicate with them regarding any details and agree on a time for them to complete the job and any other details of the job.

How much does it cost to post a job through Azzida?

It’s FREE to post a job on the Azzida mobile app. If you wish to accept an offer from an Azzida Job Performer, the Job Payment is collected by Azzida along with a small Transaction Fee relative to the amount of the Job Payment. The Job Payment is securely held by Azzida until the job has been completed. For more information on Azzida’ fees and optional upgrades, see Fees and Charges.

How do I select a job applicant?

When an applicant applies for a job you’ve posted on the Azzida mobile app, you will receive an email notification. To review applicants, go to your “My Profile” page from the main menu and select “My Listings”, then select the job to view the job posting details and click the “Applications” button to view a list of Azzida Job Performers who have applied for the job. Click on a Job Performer’s name to view their profile details including their reputation ratings. To accept an applicant for a job, simply click the “Accept Offer” button on their details page. Once they confirm their availability, you will be able to send chat messages to them from the job details page regarding any details or special requests, such as to arrive at a specific time or bring their own tools etc., you may have.

Is Tipping allowed?

Yes, tipping is allowed, but not required. When you confirm completion of a job, you’ll be given the opportunity to rate and tip your Job Performer. You may select a predefined tip or enter a custom amount. All tips go directly to the Job Performer.

How does the Azzida “Refer a Friend” program work?

When you refer new people to Azzida, both you and the referred person will receive a discount on Azzida job transaction or introduction fees. To refer someone to Azzida, from the main menu on the Azzida app, select the Share link to send a referral link and code to the new user. Once they download and register and enter the Sign Up Promo code on the Azzida mobile platform, your account will be credited with the referral fee. The referral fee can be applied to your job posting transaction fees. The discount amount of referral promotions may vary from time to time. To invite a friend to Azzida, click the Menu icon at the top left corner of the app and select the method (Text, Email, Facebook, etc. for sharing Azzida. When your friends register, you’ll both get an Azzida credit to your account.

How should I price my Job?

The advantage of using Azzida is that you determine how much you’ll pay for the job you want done. With Azzida, determining a price is up to you, but a couple of things to consider are 1) how long will the job take to complete and 2) does the job require any specialized knowledge or skill. For special projects, or if you’ve never performed the job you’re posting yourself, and you have no idea what the job should cost, ask colleagues or friends or ask online. There are plenty of websites for estimating project costs and completion times. Just remember to consider, as always, you get what you pay for, and if you really want the job done well, offer a fair market price for the job. If you post a job and don’t get any applicants right away, that tells you that you’re probably not offering enough money to incentivize someone to do the job. In that case, you can simply increase the Job Payment amount incrementally until Job Performers apply for your Job Posting.

If your’s is an hourly type job requiring basic manual labor, you could simply calculate the minimum wage in your locale times the number of hours you anticipate is would take to complete the job. The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics publishes a National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates containing the average hourly rates for various job categories. For example, if you want to post a job for pet sitting or dog walking, you can search the Bureau of Labor and Statistics Wage Estimates page for ‘Animal Caretakers’ and find that the median hourly wage is $11.91/hour (May 2019). If you’re satisfied with paying that as a fair wage for your particular situation, multiply the hourly wage by the number of hours you want someone to take care of your pet and enter that amount as your Job Payment.

Once I’ve accepted a Job Performer’s job application, how can I confirm the job’s time and details with them?

Once you accept an application for a Job Performer, they will be notified to confirm their availability. The Job Posting address will then appear only to the accepted Job Performer in the Job Posting details. Once confirmed, you will receive an email notification. To confirm a time for your job and any other details such as if you’ll provide tools, or the Job Performer needs to bring their own, from your “My Profile” page, select “My Listings” and go to your Job’s Posting and click on the “Chat” icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. Enter your message in the chat box and click the arrow next to it to send. Once your message is sent, the Job Performer will be notified and can respond to your message within the app.

What if I need to change the details of my job posting?

To edit your job posting prior to applicant acceptance, go to the Job Details page and select “Edit Job” from the top right hand corner of the screen. Make any needed changes and click the “Save” button to save your changes. You may only cancel a job after accepting an an applicant. In the case of cancellation, you may re-post the job from the My Profile screen, My Listings tab by clicking on the Job under Cancelled listings.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a Job that has already been accepted?

To avoid wasting anyone’s time and to maintain the integrity of the Azzida platform, if you need to cancel or reschedule a job that you have already accepted an applicant for the work, you are required to notify the Job Performer through the app prior to the Job Date. You may communicate with the Job Performer through the Azzida chat feature in the top right corner of the Job Post to let them know if you need to reschedule. To cancel a job, go to the Job Post and click the Cancel Job button and enter a cancellation reason. Failure to notify the Job Performer through the app in a timely manner may result in a cancellation fee charge. For more information, please visit our Terms of Use regarding Payments and Fees.

How do I make sure the Job Performer receives payment once the job is completed?

Once a job has been completed, the Job Performer will mark the job as complete. You must confirm completion within 24 hours (or, if necessary, lodge a dispute. See “How are Disputes are handled?” below), otherwise the payment will be automatically released to the Job Performer (see Terms and Conditions). To release payment to a Job Performer, go to the Job Details page under My Listings on your Profile page and click the “Confirm Completion” button and rate the Job Performer’s work.

How are disputes handled?

If you have a dispute with your Job Performer over a job posted through Azzida, we encourage you to attempt to work out a solution with them directly. However, if you are unable to resolve the dispute, Azzida provides a dispute resolution process which requires a fee (see Fees and Charges), refundable to the prevailing party. You may file a dispute resolution request through the app. To file a dispute, go to your Profile page and select the Dispute Resolution button and complete the form. How should we handle jobs through Azzida during COVID-19?

Government and public health guidelines are rapidly changing during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is your responsibility to stay updated on the latest guidelines in your area. Regardless of whether you are a Job Poster or Job Performer, you should comply with the Government advice on maintaining social distancing at all times. If you are not sure whether or not to post a job due to COVID-19 restrictions, we advise that you not put yourself at risk and continue to follow the advice of your State government and health department, local police and the CDC. For a list of guidelines in your area, the NY Times has provided a list of Coronavirus restrictions by state. Here are a list of things you can do to help reduce the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands and use hand sanitizers frequently and avoid touching your face
  • Wear a mask to cover your face when in the presence of others
  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet from other individuals
  • Get tested for COVID-19
  • Take the Coronavirus vaccination as soon as it becomes available in your local area
  • Stay home if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, or have been instructed by a medical professional to self-isolate

Why should I use Azzida?

Azzida is a marketplace for finding odd jobs, gigs and day labor within your local community. With Azzida, you don’t need to scour forums or classified sites for jobs. And, you won’t pay for leads that don’t pan out and/or spend countless hours providing estimates and bids to Job Providers who end up picking a competitor. Simply select the jobs you’re willing to do, 1-click apply and, once selected for the job, 1) show up, 2) do the work, and 3) get paid securely right through the app. With Azzida’s secure, online payment platform, the money has already been collected from the Job Poster before you do the work, so you don’t have to worry about chasing down money owed for work you’ve completed. How can I make money performing jobs with the Azzida mobile app?

Azzida provides a marketplace platform for people who want to earn money doing odd jobs, gigs and day labor. You don’t have to be a licensed professional or even have work experience to find and apply for jobs, although you should only apply for jobs you are confident you can do well. Simply download the Azzida mobile app and register to login. Next, complete your profile by clicking the menu icon at the top left of the app screen and selecting “Profile”, then click the “Edit Profile” button, add a photo by clicking the photo icon and enter your details in the form and click the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen to continue. Next click the back arrow, now at the top left of the screen to return to the “Jobs Feed” to view a list of available jobs. You may use the location icon at the top middle of the screen to select your location and then click the filter icon at the top right of the screen to select a distance from your current location, job price range and categories of work you’d like to perform and click “Apply”. Scroll through the job feed, and once you find a job you’d like to do, it’s easy to apply; just select the job from the feed, click the “Apply Now” button. If this is your first job, you’ll be prompted to register for a Stripe payment account. Complete the Stripe account form to set up your account information where you would like to receive funds. Once selected for the job, you’ll be notified by email. Log back into the Azzida app to confirm your availability by going to your profile and clicking the “My Jobs” button, selecting the job post and clicking the “Confirm Availability” button. You may now communicate with the Job Poster by chat by clicking the “Chat” icon at the top of the Job Posting to inquire about any details, such as what time to arrive for the job. Once confirmed, show up for the job at the agreed upon date and time, complete the job, and let us know you’re done through the app by logging back into the Azzida app, selecting the job and clicking the “Job Completed” button. (To notify Azzida of your job completion, from the side menu, go to ‘My Profile’ and click the ‘My Jobs’ button, select the job and click the ‘Job Completed’ button). The Job Provider will then be notified to confirm satisfactory job completion. To transfer the money to your bank account, from the Profile page, select “Cash Out”. Your Job Payment will be securely transferred to you through Azzida’s online payment service provider, Stripe. For more information, see Fees and Charges.

Why do I need a Stripe account to apply for a job on Azzida?

In order to receive payments for work completed on Azzida, you will first need to set up a Stripe account and link it to your bank account for funds transfer. Stripe is a leading, online payments services provider that provides payments solutions for companies like Amazon, Google, Lyft and Uber. Once you have created your account, you can use your Stripe account number to receive payments for any jobs your perform on the Azzida platform. Once I’m accepted for a job, how can I confirm the job’s time and details with the Job Poster?

Once your application for a job has been accepted by the Job Poster, you will receive an email notification. Go to your “My Profile” page within the Azzida app, select “My Jobs”, then select the Job to view the details and click the “Confirm Availability” button. Then, from the Job Posting details page, you may view the Job Posting address. To send a message, click the “Chat” icon in the top right hand corner of the Job Details screen and message the Job Poster by entering your message in the chat box and clicking the arrow next to it to send. You may wish to confirm an arrival time and ask any questions you may have about the job, such as if you will need tools or if they will provide them for you. You will receive an email alert whenever you have a message within the app.

How much does it cost to use the Azzida platform?

It’s FREE to download the Azzida app, create your Azzida Job Performer profile or use the app to search the Azzida Jobs Feed for jobs. Once you have completed a job through Azzida, an Introduction Fee is deducted from your Job Payment, so there’s no upfront cost. You only pay the Introduction Fee if and when you get paid. How can I find jobs in my area?

If you have location tracking set to “on” on your mobile device, the Azzida mobile app will automatically identify jobs in your area. Otherwise, within the Azzida mobile app, click the location icon at the top middle of the screen to set your location. Once your location has been selected, click the filter icon at the top right of the screen and select how far you are willing to travel for a job. Then, click the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the screen to apply the filter to the available jobs. You can also set a minimum Job Payment range and/or select categories of available jobs to search.

How can I improve my chances of being selected for jobs?

There are several ways to improve your chances of being selected for a job on the Azzida platform. First, make sure you have completely filled out your Azzida profile and be sure to include a photo, your skills and any work experience you may have. Second, good ratings improve your Azzida community reputation and demonstrate that you can be relied on to get stuff done, so be sure to level set expectations with the Job Poster prior to completing the job. Once a job has been completed, the Job Poster will rate your work. Ratings will then appear on your profile page for others to view.

When do I get paid?

Once you compete a Job, go to the “My Jobs” tab under your Profile, select the Job you’ve completed and click ‘Completed’, then rate the Job Poster to complete the job. This will notify the Job Poster that you’ve finished the work. Once they acknowledge job completion through the app, the Job Payment will processed through Azzida’s Payment Service Provider. From the Profile menu, select “Cash Out” to transfer funds to your account. If this is your first job, you’ll be prompted to register for a Stripe payment account. Complete the Stripe account form to set up your bank or debit card information to receive funds. See information on Terms of Use and Job Fees and Charges.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a job after my application has been accepted by the Job Poster?
